Producer, TNR, Press Association

Working in broadcast PR at the UK’s news agency is about as good as it gets.  We are right there, working alongside the newsdesk, to create brilliant, engaging video content that excites audiences and news editors alike.

Take a look at some of the case studies on our website and you will see that we work with the world’s leading brands and organisations, and we get coverage on top tier media platforms every day!

It’s pretty non-stop, very varied, seat of the pants type stuff.  But along with a work hard ethic, we’re also a pretty friendly bunch and there’s lots of socialising plus time off in lieu to make up for it.  With flexible hours and a fab new office and studio being designed in The  Paddington Basin, it’s a really exciting time to be joining the company.

And we are on the lookout for an exceptional producer to join the team.  Ideally with a background in broadcast journalism, combined with a creative flair for producing engaging videos, you will be used to directing crews on super-fast turnaround shoot edits, and seeing your content in the news the same day.  If you can shoot and edit too – all the better!

Amazing opportunities for progression, fantastic training opportunities and the chance to work with some seriously talented and experienced people makes for a fantastic role for the right person.

Flexibility on working hours and willingness to work unusual hours or on weekends is essential.  As is a good sense of humour and willingness to banter.

Key responsibilities and tasks will include:

  • Liaising with clients and producing a proposal with a journalistic or creative response to the story. Understanding the client’s needs and advising with a view to providing a solution and quote.
  • Pre production and production – setting up shoots, organizing crews and locations, writing interview questions and script writing
  • Directing an experienced crew to produce footage for clients’ projects across a variety of shoots
  • Editing fast turnaround footage ready for distribution (ability to edit on Premiere Pro editing software advantageous)
  • If you can self-shoot great!  We have a C300 and 5D and would love you to flex your creative camera skills
  • Writing TV / Online and Radio advisories (based on client’s PR press release)
  • Overseeing radio studio interviews
  • Liaising with the Head of Production to manage a demanding production schedule
  • Pitching stories to media

Applicants must have video production experience. A proven track record working in a news, broadcast PR environment and experience producing editorial videos is essential.

The company encourages applications from all sectors of the community.

How to apply:

If this is you, please email amanda@wearetnr.com with your CV and a covering letter.

Applications close 9th November 2018.
